1985 Suzuki DR600
At Reefton Pub. This area in the mountains east of Melbourne was favoured DR country with lots of dirt tracks and winding tarmac. I rode past the pub one day and saw a lone bike, a 250 trailie parked out front, and a local bloke eyeing me off. Next thing I knew he appeared in my mirror, and we had a wonderful dice along the Reefton Spur. He was obviously very familiar with the road, and I had to call upon the DR's superior torque as I pulled out of the many tight corners to keep me in front. We left my riding partner on his hot GS1100 for dead.
