1971 Ford Futura

A friend, who worked at a differential and transmission specialty shop, helped me swap the diff for a nice reconditioned, tall-ratio item. This gave the three speed box a pleasant long-legged feel and probably improved the economy. I never did learn to love the column-shift, and would have replaced it with a four- or five-speed box had I kept the car for longer.
