wanted to give away if only someone would be silly enough to take it.
It was unregistered but Abo and I managed to get the thing running. We drove it across town at night
using borrowed plates and adrenaline. I
spent a bit of time repairing rust and fixing up a few bits and pieces
like wheel bearings. It needed a new radiator and an overhaul, but was
otherwise in good condition for the price. My plan was to have it waiting
for my return to Melbourne with Karen. I
left it in Abo's care, which ran out after a year or two. He turned
it into a paddock bomb and that was the end of that...
