This shot shows the sides of the guitar attached and the soundboard bracing pattern, which is based on that of a Martin. The bracing distributes vibration from the bridge, and its pattern influences sound quality.
I made the sides and back out of aluminium sheet because I wanted to make something really different. I reasoned that the tones of vibrating wood might be reflected more and absorbed less by metal than by more wood. I compared the way a saxophone sounds with, say, the sound of a clarinet.
